The self-drilling screw is a series of coarse-pitch ordinary threads. The screw of the self-drilling screw has a thread with an arc-shaped triangular cross-section. The screw is surface-hardened and can be screwed into a prefabricated hole (made by drilling, punching or die-casting) of a ferrous or non-ferrous metal material to form an internal thread by extrusion. When the screw is not fully threaded, the unthreaded rod can be made into a cylindrical or triangular shape with a diameter equal to or less than the circumscribed circle.
